The beginning of Tempestuous is a little slow, with Sonny and Kelley just being heartbroken teenagers. It’s only a matter of time before they find whatever it is they’re looking for. The rifts between the mortal world and the Otherworld are getting much much worse, and someone is out murdering Fae for no reason. Both of them are utterly lost, but they still have battles to fight. Kelley is also a wreck, but her heartbreak has her accidentally changed into a falcon who takes to the skies rather than the streets. The Haunting of Heck House, the second book in the author’s middle-grade Wiggins Weird series, co-authored by Jonathan Llyr, will appear in October from Puffin Canada.Picking up about 3 hours after the ending of Darklight, Tempestuous greets us with a heartbroken Sonny, wandering the streets of New York until he stumbles upon a group of Lost Fae who take him in. Toronto-based Livingston has been prolific since the release of her successful debut, publishing two more trilogies – the Never series (including Once Every Never and its sequels) and the Starling trilogy – with final instalments of both appearing in 2014. “Will it touch on all three books in the first season? After being cast in a very off-broadway production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Kelley discovers that not only are fairies real, she’s one of them. Originally released by HarperCollins Canada in 2008, Wondrous Strange tells the story of 17-year-old actress Kelley Winslow who has moved to New York City in pursuit of her big break.
